AI Workshops for Small Business Owners

In-person training in High Wycombe this Autumn

All sessions include a virtual check-in before and after the live in-person AI workshop. Therefore the prices include at least five hours of time with an expert. During our launch season you also get a free 1-to-1 session with Paul to help you get the best value out of your session.

We will provide everything you need to de-mystify, de-fog, de-clutter and generally make sense of AI in a way that creates value in your business.

What is included?

Before

A week before the session, you will be invited to a short virtual meeting. This massively increases the value of the in-person session. It is a chance to meet everyone else beforehand and also to share where you are on your AI journey so that I can adjust the main session and help you get the most value out of it.

During

The main session is in-person and lasts three hours. This is long enough to really impact your knowledge of AI and helps you to find some real value that you can implement in your office. Hot drinks are included throughout.

After

A week after the session you will be invited to a final virtual meeting. This helps to gauge whether you need further hints or nudges to make sure your new skills are adopted for the long-term. If you need it, you are also entitled to a 1-to-1 session with Paul free of charge during our launch season.

What can you expect?

After this relaxed three-hour session, you will have at least two examples of practical uses of AI within your business context. These will be high value skills which make a big difference to your week.

All major chatbots supported

ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Claude. You can work with others but these are the four in common usage in a business context today.

Adoption

Adoption is the most significant aspect in terms of whether a training course (or any new tools of any kind) will ultimately be effective. Since adoption reflects human behaviour, and changing how we work, it is the single biggest reason why new ideas and methods do not achieve their full benefits.

This is why we have virtual sessions before and after each training. We also have small groups. We are not the cheapest but we are the best! An extra hour or two before and after the live sessions will massively impact the value you see. Please do take full advantage of all offered support.

Paul will also offer a 1-to-1 session for anyone who wants it, to make sure that full value is obtained. These sessions will help you identify those challenges which are best-suited to an AI solution.

In Detail

This is a guide to the core topics included in the session. However, after your virtual meeting beforehand we always tweak this to make sure it is of benefit to everyone signed up!

AI Core Concepts

We cover the key underpinnnings of the technology: just enough to help you understand which tasks might be best suited to AI tools.

Believe it or not, AI began in the years leading up to an international conference in 1956, not in 2022 when ChatGPT was released. Covering a tiny amount of context helps you to decide which tasks would be best-suited to an AI solution.

Writing Prompts / Prompt Engineering

Some people (not surprisingly!) find the title Prompt Engineering a little daunting. In this topic we show you why you should make your prompts as efficient as possible. Not only will you achieve bigger benefits in less time, you will also save money.

Common AI Tasks

Common usages including pros and cons: meeting notes and actions, email sorting, searching, reading and writing. Help with spreadsheets, presentations, longer documents, searching. We cover all of those but we also go way beyond the obvious.

AI Risks and Ethics

All of our training is underpinned by Responsible AI, or Ethical AI. We cover the basics of the new EU AI Act to make sure you are always using AI in a safe and legal manner. Once you know the guidelines, it’s very easy!

Success Factors

This is more than a training session. It is important that this first step leads to genuine changes in how you carry out certain tasks. This takes time and commitment, but we are here to help. We finish off by making sure you know all the best practices for making AI stick in your business for the longhaul.

AI Interview

I chatted to AI expert Tallulah Le Merle in London about AI in business generally but also about how it intersects with culture.

I put this here because I think it gives you a great insight into my training style as well as being an interesting discussion on AI past, present and future.
